Blaine page — one embed, whole page
The complete center page as a single block of code. Your Weebly theme supplies the header and footer; everything between them comes from here. One paste per page, and every section matches because it is all the same code.
Why this replaces the section-by-section approach
Building most of the page with Weebly elements and embedding only three blocks would have left the embedded parts looking sharper than everything around them. Mixed is worse than either.
This is also faster to build: one paste instead of assembling fourteen sections by hand.
The trade you are making
Text edits go through code. Changing hours or a phone number means editing HTML, not clicking in the editor. The reference table further down shows exactly what to search for, and the changes are all plain text — but it is not the same as clicking on a paragraph.
Test the paste early. The block is about 34 KB. That should be comfortable, but I cannot check Weebly's current embed limit from here. If it refuses, tell me and I will split it into two or three fully styled blocks.
Step 1 · Upload the artwork
The code references images by URL, so everything has to be in Weebly's media library first. Five brand files are shared across all six center pages — upload them once and reuse the URLs.
To get a URL: drag an Image element onto any page, upload the file, publish, then right-click the image on the live page and choose “Copy image address.”

Replace each placeholder with the URL. Keep the quote marks: src="https://www.compasschildcare.com/uploads/..."
Size photos to about 1600px wide, JPG around 70% quality, and name them descriptively before uploading. Check your photo consent list before any child's face goes up.
Step 2 · Build the page
- Pages → add a new page, or open the existing Blaine page.
- Choose the layout with no banner or header image — the embed brings its own hero.
- Delete every existing element on the page.
- Drag one Embed Code element onto the empty page.
- Click it → Edit Custom HTML → paste the code below.
- Click outside the box. The editor preview will look wrong; that is normal.
- Preview to see the real page, then publish and check it on a phone.
Keep the page URL as /blaine.html. It is already referenced by your Google Business Profile, your directory listings and at least one paid ad.

What to expect on timing
- Infant spots are the tightest. If you're expecting, it's worth calling well before your leave ends — often several months out.
- Preschool has the most room. Blaine is licensed for 73 preschool children, by far our largest group.
- A full room isn't a closed door. Schedules change constantly. If we can't take your child now, we'll tell you honestly what the wait looks like rather than leaving you guessing.
- Summer school-age care depends on demand each year. Ask in the spring.

Each room covers a set age range, so you can see well ahead roughly when your child will move to the next one. Blaine is also the only Compass center with a Transitions room — an extra step between infants and toddlers that the other centers don't have.

The day becomes a group routine — circle time, curriculum, outdoor play, lunch and nap on cots. Potty training starts here, at your child's pace and in step with what you're doing at home.

Split into rooms by age. The oldest room focuses on kindergarten readiness for children heading to school the following fall.
School-age care for children in kindergarten through age 9 is offered at Blaine in the summer. Which weeks we run depends on demand — ask Mandy in the spring.

Mandy Sheehan
“It took me 30 years to figure out I love managing people and caring for kids. Being a director combines both.”
Mandy has a Business Management degree from NKU and more than 20 years in management. She became an Assistant Director eight years ago and moved into the Director role shortly after. She mentors her teachers, meets new families daily, and reports the job comes with unlimited hugs.
She has two boys who keep her busy. On weekends you'll find the family at UMN football games or exploring arcades around the metro.

Curriculum
What your child does every day
We use Kaplan's Learn Every Day curriculum across all six centers, and every classroom follows the same monthly theme — planned together, a month at a time.
Four things, every single day
Art. STEM. Music and movement. Dramatic play. Every classroom, every day, alongside circle time, outdoor play, stories and hands-on stations.
It isn't a rotation where art happens on Tuesdays. Your child touches all four daily, at the level that fits their room.
A theme every month
Science in January, dinosaurs in February, animals in March, Our Green Earth in April, the garden in May, Ocean Commotion in June. Each month splits into weekly topics — fossils one week, types of dinosaurs the next — with a daily focus inside each.
Fridays connect to whatever is happening right outside: snowflakes in January, mud puddles in April, beach fun in June.
Infants have their own plan
Babies aren't parked while older children learn. Each month the infant room gets its own written objective with the skills behind it — a listening month working on weather sounds, or a measurement month built around playing "so big."
You get the at-home version too, so you can carry it into the evening if you want to.

Tuition at Blaine
What it costs, before you call
Rates depend on your child's age and schedule. Mandy will give you exact numbers on your tour, but here's the honest range so you can plan.
Full-time weekly rates
Infants$400 – $440
Toddlers$390 – $430
Preschool$320 – $370
Pre-K (4 & 5 year olds)$310 – $340
Full time means 4–5 days. Part-time schedules of 2–3 days are available in toddler and preschool rooms at a lower weekly rate, subject to availability. Part time isn't offered for infants. Rates assume our prepayment discount and are reviewed each January.

For comparison, Child Care Aware of Minnesota puts the current metro average for center-based care at about $441 a week for infants and $333 for preschool. Our Blaine rates sit at or below that across every age group.
Safety
How we keep the building secure
You're handing us your child. Here is exactly what that looks like on our end.
Getting in the door
Every parent receives a key card for the front door. There is no other way in during the day. Security cameras run throughout the building; footage is internal only and released solely to Compass management and state licensing.
Checked every morning
The whole center — classrooms, hallways and playground — is inspected before children arrive. Cleaning supplies and medications stay in locked cabinets. Children never have kitchen access.
A nurse, monthly
A public health nurse visits every month with full access to children's files. First aid kits are in every classroom and every field trip bag, and injuries are logged.
Who's caring for your child
Staff go through interviewing, screening, training and ongoing development before they're in a room. Corporal punishment and any form of shaming or emotional stress are prohibited outright.
Illness
Children stay home with a fever of 100°F or above, and return once they've been fever-free and medication-free for 24 hours. Same 24-hour rule for vomiting, diarrhoea, rash and pink eye. If your child gets sick here, they rest apart from the group while we reach you.
Licensed and inspected
Blaine is licensed by the Minnesota Department of Children, Youth and Families for children 6 weeks to 12 years. Our current license is posted near the office, and DCYF can be reached directly at 651-539-8222.

Common questions
Before you call
Can I visit while my child is here?
Yes, any time we're open. Parents of enrolled children are welcome to drop in during operating hours — no appointment, no advance notice.
How will I know how my child's day went?
Through the Compass app. You'll get updates on diaper changes, meals, naps and photos as the day goes, and you can message your child's teacher directly. For anything bigger, call Mandy.
What do I need to bring?
We provide diapers and wipes. You bring spare clothes, nap items, and diaper cream if your child uses it. Infants also need pre-made bottles for the day and a comfort blanket. Everything should be labelled with your child's first and last name.
What about breakfast?
Morning snack is served at 8:00. If your child needs a fuller breakfast you're welcome to send it from home — we can serve it until 7:30 AM. Menus are posted, and every meal includes a fruit, vegetable, protein and milk. If your child has allergies or won't eat what's posted, you can send food instead.
When are you closed?
New Year's Day, President's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, the Fourth of July, the Friday before Labor Day and Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after, and Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We close early on the Friday before Memorial Day, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and the Tuesday of the Anoka County Fair. For snow, we follow Anoka-Hennepin School District.
Do you help with potty training?
Yes, starting in the toddler room. Teachers work in partnership with you and move at your child's pace. Toileting accidents are handled with kindness and are never a source of punishment.
What happens after I request a tour?
Mandy will call you to set a time that works, including before or after your workday. Plan on about [LENGTH] — bring your child if you can, since seeing how they respond to the room tells you a lot.
