This playlist features a series of seven videos on kindergarten prep created by the Anoka-Hennepin School District. Topics consist of demonstrating independence, counting, holding and using markers, showing an interest in books and reading, upper and lowercase writing, using a variety of words and working/playing with others - skills that provide a strong foundation for learning and success in kindergarten. In order to enter kindergarten, children must:
- Turn five years of age on or before September 1.
- Complete an early childhood screening. (Required by the state of Minnesota. Schedule an Early Childhood Screening appointment online.)
- Have up-to-date immunizations or proper documentation of exemption from immunizations.
